My Background

While studying Business at the University of Washington, I needed a course to get me through the summer and my father recommended I try real estate or welding. Believe it or not, I leaned towards welding first. But my vision of steel art-crafting was not what I found in Welding 101 so I quickly diverted to the study of Real Estate Fundamentals. I did not have a passion for houses, nor am I one to watch HGTV’s “Flip This House”. I had every intention on entering the corporate world at full-speed upon completing my Bachelors in Business Management.

But when that time came around it was in the peak of the “bubble” and I couldn’t imagine getting “a real job.” By the time I’d graduated, I’d worked hard enough to pay for my entire college education and even picked up customers in fellow students and professors along the way. I became dependent on the independence that real estate provides and the spoiled by the inherent sovereign state you earn as a self-contractor.

I have come to realize that what draws me to real estate in general is the people.

Every transaction is truly a social experiment and I have taken personal pride in honing my skills at managing my customer’s emotional process and engaging with them to work together to make the experience FUN.

I also find great purpose in the affect that real estate has on the economy as a whole and have learned a great deal having worked and survived the recent (albeit traumatic) recession. I believe that experience has only added to my experience and understanding of this industry and it’s reflection on my customers and the world as a whole.

Work Hard. Play Hard.

In my spare time you’ll notice I like to travel. I believe in the age-old adage: “Work Hard. Play Hard.” And I think I do a pretty good job at it. In the Shift section you’ll find writings and updates on my travels. You’ll also find a page dedicated to my passion for Yoga. Coming from a strong athletic background, I was drawn to Yoga’s unique capability to take my work “off the mat” and change what was originally a work out into a lifestyle. I’ve since gotten certified to teach under the Yoga Alliance and am consistently working to better my skills and contribute to the yoga community.

While Real Estate is my first priority — I want you to get to know me. I want to get to know you. I do not separate work and personal.

My work IS personal.

I want every customer to not only be my friend but my customer for life. The better acquainted we are the easier it will be to relate to me and in the end, I think that’s important when choosing the person who will lead you through one of the most dubious financial obstacles on your life.

In the end, life is too short and this process is too intimate to you or your family to not build a personal relationship with the person guiding you through this important process. This is just my philosophy and with that, I’m excited to get to know you.
